Kindergarten 2026
We are currently taking enrolments for Kindergarten in 2026. If you have a child of Kindergarten age in 2026, please ensure you have filled out an enrolment form. Additionally, if you know someone in our local intake area, please make sure they are aware to enrol their child as soon as possible so that we can best prepare for the 2026 school year.
Dockers Shield
Good luck to our team competing at the Dockers Shield on Thursday. I know you will represent the school with pride and showcase our core values.
2026 Planning
A reminder that we are currently planning for 2026. This includes enrolments but also students and families who may be moving. If your plans change for next year, please let the front office team know as soon as possible so that we have accurate student number data to provide the best possible school environment for our children.
Dogs on School Grounds
Just a gentle reminder please that pets are not allowed on School grounds during school hours. We do have some students with allergies, and others with a fear of dogs. We kindly ask that you keep them at the School boundaries if you do bring them down. Many thanks!

We recently celebrated a fantastic Student Reward Day after reaching our impressive 2250-point milestone! To mark the occasion, all factions were treated to a special "Wear Your PJs, Watch a Movie, and Munch Popcorn" afternoon. Students had the choice between watching Luca or Arriettie, while our PP and Kindergarten children enjoyed episodes of the much-loved show Bluey. It was a wonderful way to unwind and recognise the efforts of our students.

The atmosphere throughout the school was relaxed and joyful, with children happily settled in their comfy clothes, enjoying their popcorn and film of choice. We were incredibly proud of how well-behaved and respectful all the students were during the event. It’s a real testament to the way they’ve embraced our expected behaviours and worked together to earn this reward. We’re thrilled to see their efforts being recognised and celebrated – well done to all!
Student Parliament News
At our recent student parliament meeting, we shared exciting ideas to improve the Bush Tucker and Stephanie Alexander gardens, including starting a gardening club, giving each class their own garden bed, and linking what we grow to our cooking programs. We discussed planting in-season crops, using natural pest control, and adding features like scarecrows, bug hotels, and possum dreys to support biodiversity. Sustainability was also a focus, with plans for a “Waste Warriors” team to promote composting and interest in climate-suitable plants like lillypillies, sunflowers, and native-friendly species. Students were eager to learn more about local growing conditions and hoped to invite an Aboriginal elder to guide our bush tucker planting, making the gardens more educational, engaging, and environmentally friendly.

What’s happening in Room 2!
Room 2’s Wonderful Wombat Stew Adventures!
This term, the students in Room 2 have been busy learning all about recounts in our Talk 4 Writing unit. To kick things off, we read the much-loved story Wombat Stew. After that, we headed out to the Nature Play to search for our own special ingredients to make a stew—just like in the book! We found mud, leaves, feathers, gumnuts and even some (pretend) creepy crawlies. Everyone had so much fun mixing everything together to create our very own “Wombat Stew.”

We also enjoyed making colourful Wombat Stew artwork to decorate our classroom. Using these fun experiences, the children wrote some amazing recounts, showing off their growing writing skills. Since we were loving the story so much, we decided to perform Wombat Stew for our class assembly too!

What a wild and wonderful term it’s been! From muddy stews to magical performances, Room 2 has cooked up a storm of fun and learning. We can’t wait to see where our next adventure takes us!
ROOM 02 - ASSEMBLY
Well-done to room 2 who managed to entertain us all with a lovely rendition of Wombat stew. I think the poor dingo didn’t quite appreciate the yummy stew! Room 2 did an incredible performance for us, it takes so much courage to get up on stage, and they all showed amazing resilience, fantastic work!

Aussie of the Month
The Aussie of the month award went to a well deserving student. Yolanda, thank you for showing such kindness to everyone within the school by being so inclusive! What an amazing way to make people feel valued and supported, thank you!
Words from Chappy
As some of you may know, Miss D and I have been running a "Music Club" with our senior students during Monday lunchtimes. The goal of this group has been to prepare for a performance at the Interschool Choir Festival.

Our group consists of around 24 students, and we’re excited to be performing two songs on Wednesday evening, 10th September, at the Albany Entertainment Centre.

Tickets will go on sale at 10am on Wednesday, 27th August. These events tend to sell out quickly, so if you’d like to come along and support our Music Club on the night, we encourage you to purchase your tickets as soon as they become available.
